As a prospective member of CYC, you should be aware that the club has
limited, permanent auxiliary sailboat facilities. These include deep water
moorings and slips. There are a number of shallow water auxiliary slips
and moorings available for summer use during high water. In addition, there
are a number of spaces where trailerable auxiliary sailboats can be parked.
Facilities are not available for launching trailerable auxiliary sailboats
during the winter or low water season.
To provide current, as well as new members, assurance that space will be
available when needed, and to ensure that the CYC has informed all
prospective members of existing club policies related to auxiliary
sailboat mooring and slip facilities, the following special restrictions
and limitations are announced and will apply to all persons accepted as
members of the Concord Yacht Club who own or purchase an auxiliary
sailboat.
In keeping with the above restrictions and limitations, it is my
understanding that if I am admitted to the Concord Yacht Club, the
following restrictions and limitations will apply to me as an owner of
an auxiliary sailboat:
- Initial mooring or slip assignments to new members are temporary;
new members are not vested in a permanent mooring or slip assignment
for their auxiliary sailboat until they have accumulated three (3) years seniority at
CYC.
- CYC has no responsibility, financial or otherwise, to provide an
alternative mooring or slip in the event a new member's temporary
assignment is given to a more senior member of CYC.
- Temporary mooring or slip assignments are made on an annual basis,
at which time I will have an opportunity to bid on any available moorings
or slips based on seniority I have accumulated and the needs of my boat
(i.e., keel depth, length, beam, etc.)
- I further understand and agree that if prior to the time I accumulate
three (3) years seniority at CYC, I am requested to vacate my temporary
mooring, slip or other facility that has been made available to me, I
will comply within thirty (30) days of said request. I understand that
such a request and my compliance with it in no way diminishes my seniority
and bidding rights on other available moorings or slips.
- I understand that there may not be year round accommodations to keep
an auxiliary boat in the water now or in the foreseeable future.
