Concord Model Yacht Racing Association

The Concord Yacht Club has the affiliate, the Concord Model Yacht Racing Association dedicated to racing radio-controlled model sailboats. Association Fleet members must be members of CYC.
The members own various classes of boats sanctioned by the American Model Yacht Association (AMYA). The most popular classes are the Soling 1M(6 boats) and the US 1Meter (4 boats). Other classes are the East Coast 12 Meter, the Mini 12, the 36/600 and the Victoria.
The Fleet held three regattas in 2004, a US 1M, a Soling 1M, and an open handicap regatta. The Soling is a one-design boat and the US 1 M is a development class governed by only a few rules. If you want to get involved in racing these you should talk to some present owners and come watch and sail one at our race times every Saturday and Thursday at 1:00, weather permitting.
