2007 Spring Opti Fun Clinic, May 5 & 6, 2007

The Concord Sailing Center (CSC) is proud to announce that Mr. Opti, Tom Coleman, will be offering a clinic coinciding with the 50th Annual Admiral Farragut Thistle Regatta on May 5 and 6. The main purpose of the clinic is to help Opti sailors knock the rust off and get ready for summer sailing (hopefully in CSC's Summer Sail Camp), and have tons of fun doing so! No one knows Optis better than Tom, and no one makes sailing instruction more fun. In fact, there are not many top level Opti sailors in the US who were not coached by Tom at some stage as they came through the ranks.

The clinic is open to any opti sailor between 7 and 15 who can (at least barely) solo sail an Opti - no complete beginners please. Certainly, any sailor who has had at least one week of CSC Sail Camp is ready for this clinic.

The clinic will run pretty much the same hours that the Thistles will be racing (~10AM-~4:30PM on Saturday, and ~9AM-noon on Sunday), so it's ideal for kids of Thistle racers. Lunches will be available for purchase through the Thistle regatta registration desk, and water will be provided. A cold drinks vending machine is on site.

The costs are:
$30 for instruction (one or both days), and
$15 to rent a club Opti for the clinic
. To reserve a club Opti, please contact Neil Quigley. If you can bring your own Opti, it will help by releasing club boats for others to rent.
