Auxillary Racing at CYC

Concord Yacht Club has several active racing fleets.  From March through November the club holds its High Water Series of races.  This includes keelboats on Sunday afternoons, and dinghies on Wednesday evenings.  Youth racing training occurs during the week and UT Sailing holds practice at CYC.  An informal Low Water Series is run by the keelboat fleet on Sunday afternoons between November and March.

The club holds four annual regattas (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and a Fall Regatta) for all club members.  CYC also hosts a few major open regattas each year.

One-design classes may offer additional prizes based on results of any combination of races throughout the year, but fleet racing is handicapped using the Portsmouth Rating system.  This requires all new boats to file a form with the Handicap Committee, detailing the type of boat and sail inventory.

Details of the racing program can be obtained from the Club Handbook, with the Notice of Race (NOR), Sailing Instructions (SI), handicap form and results all posted on this web site.
